The cycle Naturgeflüster by Petra Traxler-Pilgram is a poetic yet critical examination of man's relationship with nature that impressively captures the beauty and fragility of this world. Through the use of black painting, she reveals the deep longing for a harmonious coexistence, while at the same time the world-weariness of the effects of human intervention becomes palpable.

Each floral shape becomes a symbol of an inner force that is not afraid of change, but carries it within itself.

Together with Beyond Black & White, The Art of Transformation forms a curatorial field of tension between perception and change.

While Beyond Black & White celebrates balance - consciously seeing, feeling and recognizing - The Art of Transformation unfolds movement from this: actively shaping, changing, rethinking.

In his work, beauty, science and ethics merge into a new whole - amazement at beauty leads to knowledge, and knowledge becomes an attitude.

In his EBONY IVORY cycle, the blossom becomes a metaphor for the eternal game of life and transience, of control and letting go.

The Beyond Black & White collection curated by BURN-IN takes this idea further.

It understands Fischer's floral iconography as an aesthetic balance between reduction and abundance, between analysis and emotion - and shows how close stillness and movement are to each other.
