BURN-IN BUSINESS CIRCLE II

Seminar: 24. November 2016 16:00

BURN-IN BUSINESS CIRCLE II | Workshop BURN-IN Cultural Coordinates

The second BURN-IN BUSINESS CIRCLE was all about Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Once again, the BURN-IN team came up with something very special. To give the BBC participants a comprehensive overview of the current CSR situation, we presented the most important aspects of our online survey and discussed the topic of CSR with its many aspects & potentials (certifications, vision work, cultural work, art interventions, positioning...).

The methodology. BURN-IN visualized on a screen the relevant core terms CSR, corporate culture, authenticity, innovation, creativity, identity, brand, emotion and intuition. In the first round, even before the lecture series, the participants made an initial evaluation (selection of the 5 most important terms | school grading system). The second evaluation round started after the presentations. Different colors in the grading enabled the evaluation of the changing opinions.

BURN-IN cultural coordinates

Objectives: ranking the importance of the individual areas, highlighting the changes through our awareness-raising work (presentations) and a creative structural development with a recognition of the interdependence of the areas.

The most important key messages:

  1. The greatest attention with 14 mentions was achieved by CSR, but with a moderate score of 3.8
  2. which received top marks: Innovation, creativity and authenticity (2.0 - 2.4)
  3. the most positive changes were achieved by the items Corporate culture (-0.8), CSR, Creativity (-0.4)

The BURN-IN cultural coordinates method shows that the symbiosis of management and artistic intervention works and delivers plausible, easily tangible results in a relatively short time.

The qualitative and quantitative evaluation of the BURN-IN online survey also brought interesting details to light. The exact facts can be found in the BBC presentation.

Many thanks to all contributors for their active participation in the BBC, especially Barbara Neuroth (Grüne), Peter Jäger (Vienna Department of Culture | MA 7), Alexandra David (Five Plus ART Gallery), Katharina Schleifer (Greifenspiel), Heribert Jascha, Ilse Köpke, Eva Pisa and our moderator & CSR Manager Stefan Keller.
