The artists on the BURN-IN platform have developed their identity. After all, talent is only one prerequisite on which artists can build. "We are not what we are, but what we make of ourselves," says British sociologist Anthony Giddens. It is only through experience and immersion in artistic expression that identity can be developed. This "artistic signature" is contained in the works of all artists on the platform, which is why there can be no contradiction between identity and diversity in this case. As soon as artists have developed their own personal style, a professional diversity emerges in a joint exhibition. However, this is not a colourful mixture of painting and sculpture, but a combination of related works in which the different styles can be recognized.
