Eigenwelten - Cerny - Artist's text

Ladislav Černý, born in Bratislava in 1965, received his artistic training at the School of Applied Arts in Bratislava and the Dresden University of Fine Arts, where he graduated with a degree in restoration in 1991. His passion for painting and sculpture was deepened by working with important teachers such as Prof. Hort Jokusch and Prof. Günter Jakob. He has been exhibiting internationally since 1999 and is a member of several artists' associations. Černý is also a sought-after restorer whose works captivate with their monumentality and expressive directness. He lives and works in Ivanka pri Dunaji near Bratislava and cooperates with the BURN-IN Gallery to promote cultural dialog across traditional borders.
